To give you a glimpse of what to expect, here are those chosen to represent the Eastern Conference, starting with names like Tyrese Haliburton, Jalen Brunson and the giant Joel Embiid, who, alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, Tyrese Maxey, Donovan Mitchell , Scottie Barnes, Jaylen Brown, Bam Adebayo, Damian Lillard and Trae Young, make up the list of selected starters and reserves.

Meanwhile, on the individual front, Kevin Durant, now a Phoenix Suns star, and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers were crowned Players of the Week for Week 13 of the 2023-24 season.

Durant, for the West, impressed with averages of 31.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. Embiid, for the East, was not far behind, with an astonishing average of 37.8 points, in addition to 8.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists, helping his teams maintain an undefeated week – the Suns with three wins and the Sixers with four.

Embiid, specifically, has had a standout season. Named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the third time this year, he led the league with an average of 37.8 points, shooting 54.5% from the field.

He also contributed 8.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks, while the Sixers were unbeaten. Along with Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks, Embiid was one of the only players in the league to average at least 35.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists for the week.

His most notable performance was against the Denver Nuggets, where he accumulated 41 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds.

At this pace, Embiid is on pace to join the legendary Wilt Chamberlain as one of the only players in NBA history to average at least 35 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a full season.
